Progress report

Just a quick update on what's going on:
Bob and Matt built a cozy tent over the sun deck above the front door. And now they are prepping it and hopefully pitching it for the installation of the drains, heating coils and tile.

In the basement, Rich continues with all the trim work - it's starting to look almost finished with door casings and window moldings and baseboards. I really have to remember to call it the lower level -- it will be so much better than a basement. Although now it still has a basment aura to it.

Up on the third floor, Katelyn finished the shelving for the sharing closet; and the hanging pole is up. I just want to bring a hanger to make sure there is actually room to hang things. It looks so neat in there. I'm gonna hate to mess it up with stuff.

Ken finished removing the stucco on the bay window at Peter's dressing room, and now it is trimmed and ready for it's paint. Now all the bays will have the same treatment on the outside. It's a kind of symmetry that should make Miriam very happy.

The wall by the tennis court keeps on growing. We will have to play alot of tennis next summer so we can enjoy seeing it. We've also decided to get new fencing for the court. I'll miss the tree branches growing thru the fence, but the new landscape plan definitely requires a rust-less and hole-less fence.

The stucco guys started today. Mike, the main stucco guy, said he is going to get everything tight and prepared for the stucco. But the final layer won't go on til the spring because it's getting to cold now. Oh well.

On Wednesday, Sal is scheduled to come back with his digger to do some serious grading of the property. That'll get us ready for the piping for the heating system and the planting of some trees behind the driveway and we hopefully will be ready to go when we get the permit for the garage.
