Finally a dry day
Today was a pretty busy day. The foundation hole was pumped out so it is almost completely dry, ready for Thursday nights rain storm. Bill and Katelyn spent some time building a structure with a couple of sticks of lumber.
At first it looked likethey were setting up for someone to walk the plank.
Then they star
ted playing a very elaborate game of cat's cradle.
Eventually they got bored with these games, and went in to the basement to remove the windows. It looks a little medieval in the basement with the
fieldstone walls and just openings where the windows were. Lee and I agreed that it was a shame the water was pumped out of what could have been the moat to protect us from invaders. He mentioned something about bringing pirhanas. Or maybe they'll just cover the openings.
Peter, Miriam, Lee and I had a very good meeting today. We made some decisions that hopefully will be final. And most importantly, we are about four weeks into the project and everyone is still smiling!
